Our guides are free. Here’s how KidBrief makes money, plus the rules we follow so you can trust what you read.
Who publishes this site
KidBrief is published by Treehouse Learning Center, which runs bilingual childcare and pediatric therapy programs in Lynn, Massachusetts. Whenever we mention Treehouse, we label it. In addition, our upcoming directory will list every licensed program, not just ours.
How we make money
- Affiliate links. Some product links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. However, brands can’t pay for a recommendation, and a commission never decides what we pick. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Our publisher. Treehouse Learning Center funds the rest of the site. Where it fits, a guide may mention Treehouse programs, and the label always says so.
How we choose products
- Our educators and therapists must be willing to use a product with their own kids or classrooms. Otherwise, it doesn’t make the list.
- First, we check age ranges and safety warnings on the brand’s own page. Then we tell you what they say.
- Prices change, so you won’t see them here. Instead, every product link says “Check price.”
- No product treats or cures anything. For health, development or behavior concerns, talk to your pediatrician, Early Intervention or your school district.
How we keep the facts straight
Every number, rule and guideline links to its source, usually a government agency or a professional group like the American Academy of Pediatrics. Each guide also shows the date its facts were last checked. Before anything goes live, a person reviews it. See a mistake? Tell us through our About page and we’ll fix it.
