How Ask KidBrief works

First, send your question with the form above. Then a person on our team reads it. When many parents ask the same thing, we turn the answer into a full guide, with sources. That way, your question helps other families too.

Tips for a great question

Tell us your child’s age and your town or region. Share what you’ve already tried. Keep it short, because one question per message works best. You can ask in English or Spanish.

Questions we love

  • How much does child care cost, and how can I pay less?
  • Is my toddler’s speech on track?
  • What should I ask on a daycare tour?
  • How do I handle biting or hitting in my classroom?
  • What changed in Massachusetts child care rules this year?

Some of these already have answers. For example, read what child care costs in Massachusetts, speech delay signs by age or daycare tour questions. Educators can start with our guides for teachers.

Your privacy

We never publish your last name or your email. If we use your question in a guide, we keep the details general so no one can identify you or your child. To learn more, read our privacy policy.

What we can’t help with

KidBrief is not a doctor, a lawyer or a licensing office. So for a health concern, call your child’s pediatrician. For a concern about a licensed program, contact the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. And if a child is in danger, call 911.
